Discover One-of-a-Kind Items at Vendor Mall

With over forty vendors and consignments, there’s plenty to discover at Countryside Treasures in Granton, a vendor mall offering everything from from soap to quality Amish furniture.

“We’re on highway 10, so we get a lot of people drive by and stop in and see what we’re all about,” said owner Michele Baxter. “It’s a nice place to come because you find unusual things.”

Prices depend on the sellers, but she notes that items can be as low as a dollar, making the mall an accessible choice for all budgets.

Baxter previously owned the Farmer’s Pantry, and after selling the business, decided to fill the empty building space with vendors. She had seen a similar business in Altoona and wanted to try it at home. The new business opened in May 2016 and was well-received, and customers still get excited by their discoveries and bring back friends to browse.

“They find things they can’t find anywhere else,” Baxter said.

There’s a staggering amount of treasures to discover inside the building for vintage, retro, antique, Western, and handcrafted tastes. One can find homemade food and goat’s milk soap, log furniture and war memorabilia, lawn ornaments and purses, as well as gifts for the season.

“There’s all kinds of Christmas decor and items,” Baxter said.

Get a peek at what’s available through the Countryside Treasures Facebook page, which is regularly updated. The business also sells items by artists who sell on consignment.

Most of the vendors come from within an hours radius. New vendors are being accepted and can inquire about renting a space.

Open year-round, the store hosts flea markets in the summer from May to September on Fridays and Saturdays. During the Spring and Fall, flower baskets and mums are sold outside.
