Wood County Campgrounds

It may be hard to believe, but camping season is nearly here! In Wood County, camping is available at Dexter Park, North Wood County Park and South Wood County Park. There are also primitive camping spots at Richfield 360 recreational area.

Camping for the first three opens April 27. During the shoulder seasons of April 27-May 23 and September 7 – October 31, camping is first-come, first-serve. Reservations can be made from May 23 to September 7 up to one year in advance online (login required) by calling the office at 715-421-8422. Pictures of campsites can be found at the Wood County Parks & Forestry Facebook page.

Rates at the county parks are $18/night or $23 with electricity. For a more in-depth look at rates and policies, visit the Wood County website at this link. Note that all firewood must be purchased within the park to stop the spread of easily-hidden pests. More information on this issue can be found at the DNR website here.
