The 52nd Annual WI State Water Ski Championships will be held on July 19-22, 2018 at the Red Sands Beach area of Lake Wazeecha in South Wood County Park.

26 Teams and a full slate of Individual competitors will take to the water starting at 8 AM on Thursday, July 19.  The Aqua Skiers will compete second to last on Saturday the 21st and Shermalot Show Team will ski on second on Saturday morning.

The free event has brought out thousands of spectators each year at Red Sands Beach since its origin in 1967. Prepare to be awed by the athleticism of the skiers as they flip, twist, and spin over jumps; by the teamwork required to make towering, 5-tier pyramids; by the skill of swivel skiers performing 1,080-degree turns and the ballet lines of twenty-five skiers.

Teams are judged based on many factors, including execution, showmanship, difficulty, music, costuming, and overall performance, among others.

Full concessions and Beer tent will be open through the four days starting with breakfast each day. Many water-ski-related vendors will also be there selling their goods.
Bring a blanket or a chair or sit in the bleachers and enjoy the splendor of Wisconsin Show Skiing at its best.
