For free games, music, carnival rides and more family fun, come to Marathon Fun Days in Marathon, Wisconsin.
by Kaylin Speth – The long-running annual event returns September 1-4 for a full weekend of activities. See the Fun Runs on Friday evening starting with the kids 1k at 6 p.m. followed by the 10k and 5k runs. Listen to polka music by Neal Zunker & Music Connection from 7:30-11:30 p.m. and watch the fireworks light up at 9:30.
The fun continues on Saturday with golfing at 7 a.m. and a Legion baseball pancake breakfast at the high school from 8-11. Shoot a firehose at the fire station open house from 10-1 p.m. The carnival opens at 1 p.m. and the kiddie parade starts shortly after. The Stray Pony Express Band finishes the night from 8-12 a.m.
Stay for the auto show on Sunday from 11-3 p.m. and the chicken dinner at 9 a.m. There’s also a women’s volleyball tournament, carnival rides, and the Big Parade with marching bands at 1 p.m. Hocus Polkas plays 3-7 with Led West Band from 8-12 a.m.
On Labor Day, watch the Old Timers Pitch tourney at 9 a.m. and the Bean Bag tourney at 10. The carnival rides open at noon.
