Willow Springs Offers Weekend Activities, Harvest Fest, Haunted Maze and More
Join Willow Springs Garden for this fall’s themed corn mazes celebrating Walt Disney, the pioneer of the American animation industry.
Through Sun. Oct. 22, the weekend fun includes tractor rides, a children’s maze and petting zoo, pumpkin patch, campfire, games, wagon rides, concessions, and more. Join Fridays 6-10 p.m., Sat. 10-10, and Sun. 10-6 p.m. for $5 a person (4 and over). The haunted maze will be Oct. 26 and 27 from 7-10 p.m. and Oct 28 from 6:30-10 p.m.
Each weekend will be unique. Sept. 30, the staff will dress up as Snow White’s dwarves and invite visitors to do the same or bring a Snow White doll to win a prize. Cupcakes and candy apples will be served.
Sun. October 1 will be Harvest Fest, featuring old fashioned oat threshing and straw baling at 9 a.m., a Giant Crafters tent 10-4 p.m., horse drawn wagon rides, barrel train rides, animals, craft making for kids, line dance demonstrations 11-12:30 p.m., pony rides 11-4 p.m., horse drill team show at 12 and 3 p.m., and more. Admission is free for the event, and funds go toward restoring the historic round barn on the property.
Oct. 7 and 8 will be Disney animal character and dog days. Guess which animals go with which movie, and win a prize. Take a picture with Phillipe, Belle’s horse from Beauty and the Beast. If your dog looks like a Disney dog, bring it on a leash to receive a dog treat or toy.
Oct 14 and 15, dress like a Disney prince or princess or wear the shirt for the prize, and participate in themed games and crafts. Oct 21 and 22 is Villain Weekend, so come dressed up and vote on your favorite staff costume.
New this year is a kids Halloween party on Oct. 29 from 1-4 with a trick-or-treat maze, concession, games, crafts, storytime, and dancing. Cost is $5 for kids ages 4-10 with no charge for ages 3 and under.
