Experience the Origins of Rock ‘n’ Roll at Lucille Tack Center Concert


Submitted to EXPLORE – Memphis is alive with a new genre of music—not quite rockabilly, not quite swing—the newspapers are calling it Rock ‘n’ Roll. Only one man in the nation seems to have his finger on the pulse of this nationwide phenomenon, Sam Phillips, owner of the small Sun Records.

The LuCille Tack Center for the Arts in Spencer will be rockin’ to the music of the 1950s in a memorable tribute concert – Presley, Perkins, Lewis & Cash – on Friday, November 3 at 7:30 p.m.

In this high octane performance, you’ll hear four of SAM’S BOYS™ perform Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis and Johnny Cash—men who later achieved great personal fame. Don’t miss this rockin’ trip into the soul of the south, back in 1956, when rock was new and America did not yet know these names, when the glare of superstardom had not yet begun to shine on—SAM’S BOYS” Presley, Perkins, Lewis & Cash.

Theater goers will hear the iconic rock and roll hits of Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis & Johnny Cash and bear witness to music and talent that has stood the test of time.
